About This Event

Exercise Topics: 

Introduction to an Ammonia Concept of Operations (CONOPS)

• Enhance Tripod Response Readiness – Industry, Government & Public Safety.
• Foster Collaboration between Local – State – Federal Emergency Agencies and Local Industry. 
• Increase the understanding of the role of the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)

Perform an Ammonia Emergency Tabletop Exercise (TTX)

• Simulation of a significant ammonia release based on the Federal Integrated Contingency Plan (One Plan)
• Utilization of an Emergency Action Plan and Response Plan.
• Review and Utilize the FEMA complexity levels.
• Engage Discovery, Initial, and Sustained Response Stages.
• Demonstrate the Advantages of FEMA’s ChemResponder Platform.
• Demonstrate ALOHA and IMAAC Plume modeling
• Engage Medical Emergency Management.
• Review the Termination and Recovery Stage.
