The annual ASTI 32-Hour Ammonia Responder course is in Seaside,CA
What you can expect: This course is a training experience that combines stimulating classroom time with hands-on training scenarios, and live Ammonia drills, along with valuable connections with experts in the Ammonia field.
All ammonia industrial end-users, public safety responders, and government officials are welcome to attend.

Day 1 - Hazard Awareness: Chemical And Physical Properties Of Ammonia
· Hazard Assessment Before and During Emergency Response
· Normalize on Safety - NO Deviation from Safe Practices
· Responders Guide for Understanding Industrial Ammonia Systems
· Future Growth of NH3 - Traditional and New Uses as an Energy Source
Day 2 - Command And Operations Staff Ability To Engage The Emergency Plan
· Ammonia Emergency Response Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
· National, State, and Local Emergency Response Framework
· Tripod Power When Implementing the 30-Minute Plan
· Emergency Responder Use of the Bowtie Hazard Assessment
· Classroom Tabletop Exercises (TTX) Based on Real Events
· Bowtie Exercise: How an Accident Can Evolve Into an Emergency Event
Day 3 - Live Ammonia Events At Fort Ord “Impossible City” Training Site
· Critical Task Readiness – Incident Action Plan for Safe Response
· Student Involvement in the Command and Operations Decisions
Day 4 - Debriefing And Tripod Strengthening
· Debrief the Day 3 Live Release Experiences
· International Adoption of the Ammonia Response CONOPS
· New Requirements for TTX and Notification Training
· Brainstorm - How ASTI Can Proceed with Our Mission and Goals
